Research Ethics at ISN

Contact HREC

Supporting ethical research with people, data, and communities.

ISN’s Human Research Ethics Committee (ISN HREC) supports researchers and students to conduct human research responsibly, respectfully, and in accordance with national ethical standards.

Review Pathways

Find the right level of review for your project.

All research involving human participants requires ethical review and clearance prior to commencement of data collection.

The HREC process is designed to be proportionate to risk.

Researchers should seek advice early, especially where projects involve sensitive topics, clinical populations, children and young people, or identifiable information.
